I began posting anonymous NSFW content on Twitter in early 2022. I started it mostly as a way to blow off steam from a job that wasn’t especially fulfilling or interesting. Over the next several months, I started developing friendships and relationships—online and offline—with people and communities around the world via a persona I created called PolesomeGay.

In early 2023, after about a year of posting increasingly explicit content on Twitter I started an OnlyFans page. I did it firstly because I was reasonably sure I could generate enough revenue to make it worth my while. But I also did it because there was something very enticing about understanding the intersection of technology, the burgeoning gig and creator economy, sex work, and the intricacies of vice-like industries from the production side of things.

Platforms are fickle, and my outsized dependence on Twitter in particular in this moment makes me worried that the community I have on there is a bit tenuous. I also have some half baked takes I’d like to get off that take more than 280 characters to get off.

I’ve been sitting on the outlines of a couple post ideas for a while, but I’ve been waiting for the unifying theme that still hasn’t arrived. The best I can do is “what would a wannabe Ezra Klein show staffer posting dick pics on Twitter” have to say about the world?

Much like how I started on Twitter, I’m kicking this off not entirely sure where we’ll end up. No dick pics allowed on here, so more hot takes than hot pics—though we’ll find a way. Thanks for your support, as always.
